Este identificador, conocido tambi\u00e9n como <\/span><b>NIVE de la DGT<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, se utiliza cuando un veh\u00edculo no dispone de un VIN est\u00e1ndar o cuando el n\u00famero de bastidor original no puede utilizarse correctamente en los sistemas de registro.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuando se intenta comprobar el historial de un coche o identificar un veh\u00edculo, muchas personas buscan informaci\u00f3n sobre el <\/span><b>NIVE del veh\u00edculo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sin embargo, en la mayor\u00eda de los casos lo que realmente se necesita no es el <\/span><b>NIVE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, sino el <\/span><b>VIN o n\u00famero de bastidor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, que es el identificador internacional utilizado para consultar informaci\u00f3n sobre un coche.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El n\u00famero de bastidor, tambi\u00e9n conocido como <\/span><b>VIN o c\u00f3digo NIV<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, es el c\u00f3digo que identifica de forma \u00fanica cada veh\u00edculo y el que se utiliza habitualmente para consultar el historial de un coche.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta confusi\u00f3n es muy com\u00fan en internet, ya que los t\u00e9rminos <\/span><b>NIVE, NIV, VIN y n\u00famero de bastidor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> suelen utilizarse como si fueran lo mismo, aunque en realidad <\/span><b>no significan exactamente lo mismo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"En_esta_guia_explicamos\"><\/span><strong>En 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">veh\u00edculos importados con formatos de identificaci\u00f3n no compatibles,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" 400;\">reconstrucciones o modificaciones importantes del veh\u00edculo.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En estos casos, la DGT asigna un <\/span><b>NIVE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> para poder registrar el veh\u00edculo en su sistema.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Que_es_el_NIV_o_VIN_de_un_coche\"><\/span><strong>Qu\u00e9 es el NIV o VIN de un coche<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El <\/span><b>NIV (N\u00famero de Identificaci\u00f3n del Veh\u00edculo)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> es la traducci\u00f3n al espa\u00f1ol del <\/span><b>VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Este c\u00f3digo es el <\/span><b>identificador internacional del veh\u00edculo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y es asignado por el fabricante durante el proceso de producci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El VIN o NIV est\u00e1 formado por <\/span><b>17
